To ensure that your EagleCam 5 operates smoothly from the start, follow the four key steps below to complete the physical installation, antenna connection, camera placement, and status confirmation.
STEP 1: Installing the SD Card
We recommend using an SD card with a capacity of 32 GB or higher (up to 256 GB supported).
Insert the SD card into the slot as shown in the diagram.
STEP 2: Installing the Antenna
Screw the antenna into the port on the side of the camera. Turn it clockwise to secure it in place, as shown in the image.
STEP 3: Installing the Camera
Thread the strap through the installation slot on the back of the camera and tie it securely to a tree.
The recommended installation height is 1–1.5 meters, which aligns with the typical height of
monitored animals.
Note: You can adjust the height based on the terrain or size of the target.
Avoid blocking the camera’s view with leaves, branches, or tall grass, and make sure direct sunlight does
not shine into the lens.
STEP 4: Confirming the Device’s Operating Status
- Turn on the power switch and observe the indicator light to ensure the device is connected and functioning properly.
Indicator Status Reference:
- Solid Blue Light: Operating properly
- Fast Flashing Blue Light: Connecting to network

- Open the camera preview on the Magic Eagle® mobile app.
Click the homepage’s “⊕” icon → Add device → Successful addition → View camera.
Adjust the angle to capture the desired target within the frame.
Once these steps are complete, your EagleCam 5 will be ready for action in the field—securely mounted, connected, and ready to detect motion or wildlife.
